Mount Anvil & Peabody: Friary Park & Burridge Gardens Developments
Project Description
Developers Mount Anvil and Peabody Housing Association commissioned RealWorth to support their development partnership, developing over 1,600 new homes across two sites in London, over 45% of which will be affordable housing.
In addition to building new homes, in Friary Park, the development partnership aims to create new landscaped public and communal gardens, improve community facilities, construct a "creative hub", co-working space, and install a multi-use games area. In Burridge Gardens, the development partnership plans to construct a community centre, create a tree-lined pedestrian avenue linking Wandsworth Common with Clapham Junction station, increase the amount of open space and build commercial units over the community square.
How we Helped
RealWorth worked with the development partnership to establish and deliver a Local Partnerships Strategy. This included:
Working with local charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises to determine their needs and support requirements
Working with Development Partners to understand resource availability and impact priority areas
Drafting partnership support charters for the next 1-3 years
Establishing lasting trusted relationships
This project is helping the development partnership to establish and deliver positive social impact for residents and the wider Acton and Ealing communities.
